80 HVAC Service Contractors in Thousand Oaks, CA

The Conejo Valley's climate creates steady but measured HVAC demand. Pacific maritime influence keeps Thousand Oaks cooler than inland valleys, with summer highs around 89 F and winter lows near 38 F. This means cooling systems work hardest from July through September while heating kicks in during December and February. Homeowners here draw from a pool of ninety-one licensed contractors holding C-20 credentials, and the average rating across six thousand seventy-four reviews sits at four and one-half stars, with fifteen offering around-the-clock availability.

Pricing reflects the scope of work required. A standard service call or diagnostic runs between $71 and $190, while a routine tune-up for a single system costs $67 to $190. More extensive repairs average $143 to $1,140 depending on parts and labor. All technicians must carry the state C-20 warm-air heating and air-conditioning license from the California Contractors State License Board, verifying they meet baseline competency standards for safe installation and repairs.

Buyer feedback reveals patterns worth noting. Reviewers frequently mention technicians by name, with Brad Floyd praised for transparent diagnostic explanations and same-day arrivals at Thousand Oaks Plumbing. At Payless Water Heaters, David H and Dustin earn repeated recognition for clear communication and punctuality. Across multiple companies, the most satisfied customers specifically cite individual technicians who arrived on time, explained what the repair involved, and completed the work in a single visit.
