507 AC Installation Contractors in Atlanta, GA

Atlanta's summer heat creates serious challenges for homeowners. With temperatures regularly climbing above 90 F for 47 days and the heat index frequently surpassing 100 F due to humidity, reliable cooling becomes essential rather than optional. The 547 HVAC contractors operating in the Atlanta metro area reflect this demand, though the average rating of 3.5 across over 36,000 reviews suggests quality varies significantly. Proper AC Installation in Atlanta requires systems that can handle both the intense summer cooling load and the mild heating needs throughout the year.

When it comes to installation costs, homeowners have several options depending on their setup. Window units range from $150 to $700, while ductless mini-split systems for single zones run $2,000 to $8,000. For those replacing central AC with existing ductwork, expect to pay between $3,500 and $12,000. Georgia requires installers to hold either a Class I or Class II license from the State Board of Conditioned Air Contractors, with Class I requiring four years of experience and Class II requiring five years.
