212 AC Replacement Contractors in Atlanta, GA

Atlanta's climate makes AC Replacement in Atlanta a practical necessity rather than a luxury. The city experiences 47 days each summer where temperatures exceed 90 F, with humidity pushing heat-index readings above 100 F for weeks at a time. This persistent stress on cooling systems drives consistent demand across the metro area. Homeowners across the region work with 388 licensed contractors, who collectively maintain an average rating of 4.2 stars based on over 66,000 customer reviews.

Pricing for replacement units reflects system capacity and efficiency ratings. A basic 3-ton central AC runs $5500-$11000, while mid-efficiency 4-ton systems cost $7500-$14000. High-efficiency 5-ton units command $9500-$16000. These figures include equipment and professional installation. Georgia requires contractors to hold either a Class I restricted or Class II unrestricted license from the State Board of Conditioned Air Contractors, with Class II credentials requiring five years of experience versus four for Class I.
